37-year-old arrested for raping minor in Kurali

A 37-year-old Kurali resident arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl. The accused has been identified as Parvinder Singh. He works as a transporter.

The accused had on run for the past 10 days. Stated the police. On Thursday, members of the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party held a protest. Outside the Kurali police station. They demanded arrest.

The police arrested the victim’s aunt. She had allegedly helped the accused in the crime. The girl aged around 14 gone to stay at her grandparents’ house. Her aunt also lived there. The aunt used to call the accused, who raped the girl several times at the house. She had also threatened the girl. Against revealing the incident to anyone.

Kurali station house officer Gurpreet Singh said, “We have arrested him and will take him to the court on Saturday. A case under Sections 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, has been registered against the duo.”
