A nameless lane at T Nagar, Chennai now a cause for pain

A 300-metre-long lane without a name between Ranganathan Street and Natesan Street in T Nagar now a parking lot and a public toilet. This a major link for pedestrians trying to reach the railway station or bus terminus. However now a garbage dump and a place to discard unwanted furniture for big stores on Ranganathan Street.

Jayaraman a localite said he posted a complaint on the corporation’s Namma Chennai app to at least clean the lane . However no response. “They posted a video of the lane for a few metres and closed the complaint. But nothing cleared and they didn’t even relocate the hawkers.” A corporation official said the civic body tried to clear the street of encroachments and illegal parking.
