CBSE Board Exam 2021 to be held in written mode only, not online

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that annual board examination for students of classes 10 and 12 will take place in pen and paper mode. Not online despite the pandemic. The CBSE Board stated that alternate planned for students who not able to appear for practicals.

Issuing a statement, the board said, “The exams as and when they are being conducted, in the written mode and not in an online mode. The exams conducted following all COVID protocols.”
However, the board yet to take a decision on when the exam held.

The union education ministry holding consultation with the teachers, students and parents on December 10 regarding the exams. Therefore the education minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank tweeted. He asked the stakeholders to share their concerns.

“Dear all, 2020 has been a year of a great many changes like adjusting to #onlineeducation, adapting to #newnormal. Happy to share that I am going live on Dec 10 to talk about upcoming competitive/board exams with you. Drop your concerns below using #EducationMinisterGoesLive,” Nishank had tweeted.

With schools closed, a concern among principals, teachers and students regarding the practical exam for different subjects.

For this batch of students due to COVID19, the syllabus reduced by almost 30%.
However, CBSE changed the question pattern a little, increasing the weightage of the multiple-choice questions.
