Indian Railways to refund full ticket to passengers who missed their train from Delhi due to farmers’ stir

Indian Railways offered a full refund of tickets to passengers who could not board the train from Delhi. This due to amid violent farm protests that rocked the national capital earlier in the day.

Speaking to ET Online, Deepak Kumar, Spokesperson, Northern Railway said “The passenger not able to reach stations and catch trains in Delhi area stations because of Kisan agitation requested to apply for a full refund of all the trains departing from all the stations of Delhi area up to 9 p.m. today through TDR (ticket deposit receipt) and e-TDR for e-tickets.”

Necessary instruction on the refund issued to Railway stations in Delhi. Similarly this includes New Delhi, Sarai Rohilla, Nizamuddin, Old Delhi, Anand Vihar, Safdarjang Railway Station.

Several parts of Delhi witnessed violent clashes between the farmers and the security personnel. Therefore this led to the closure of several routes.
