Submarine launch in Andaman and Nicobar Islands – PM Modi will inaugurate on August 10

An official information is released on Friday, that PM Modi will inaugurate the submarine optical fibre cable connecting chennai and port Blair on August 10. This will be done via video conferencing.The submarine cable will also connect Port Blair to Swaraj Dweep, Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Kamorta, Great Nicobar, Long Island, and Rangat.

The foundation of the project was laid on by the prime minister in 2018 on December 30 . The benefit of this newly set up network is that it will enable much faster and better mobile and telecom services to the Andaman and Nicobar Islands , in order with the other parts of country.

The provision of reliable, robust, and high-speed telecom and broadband facilities in these islands will be a landmark achievement from the viewpoint of consumers, as well as for strategic and governance reasons,” the official statement was released.

The official statement said the new telecom connectivity will boost tourism and generate employment in the Island. The facility of e- education and e-medication will be increased with the advanced network set up.

The benefit will be extended to the trade enterprises which will be able to use the e-commerce with the new connectivity in the area. The educational institutions will be highly able to approach the e-learning and sharing through this boon .
