The above mentioned perks are assured to the ones who are into this Gig trend. Just like the new normal,the new normal work trend “The Gig Economy” – spins around.

“The Gig” trend :

In Gig Economy, the employers will hire independant contractors and freelancers for short period. The ones hired are those who search for such temporary jobs or projects too. As they are ready to be flexible, they are employed with atmost priority. They are hired when there is a need for persons with required skills for a opening for short duration.

Mostly, Gig Economy comes into picture when online platform enters the story line. Employees receive a boon to work at their own comfort. The comfort can be of any form, like – work from home. But, Note that this Gig trend is widespread than ever only after the pandemic, though it was prevalent few years back. Or, it is familiar after it has been named.

In a recent research by McKinsey, it is verified that Knowledge and Creative industry are largest and fastest growing industries through this trend. Furthermore, a recent news reveals that Italy uses this Gig concept more.

Through this, the freelancers or persons who are in need of job, has a privilege to choose the kind of projects they wanted to work. In clear sense, they can be the owner of their own work. They are not in chains and even gathers more networks. Practically, they earn more than full time employees. On the other hand, growth in career is quite hard, as their role is not secured. And they loose Employees perks too, like PF, Insurance, loans etc. Moreover, the conventional office friendships are the major missings to these flexible freelancers.

Surprisingly, this trend booms exponentially. All we have to do is update ourself in our field to survive. Seth Godin said –
