Recently, there comes strong allegations against security of data shared over internet. Especially, the social medias makes use of people details to analyse, advertise the products or services. More often, our details are exposed to hackers and cyber criminals. This alleviates several fraudulent cases, whereas the source is less Data security.

Inline with this data loss, Facebook is frequently receiving charges against it. Few days back, around 533 million Facebook users information were leaked. It included the Name, Marital Status, Occupation, email, phone number, etc., That were shared public or even those accounts that weren’t public. As a moment of shock, Mark Zuckerberg’s phone number was revealed too. It also revealed the details of Facebook’s co-founders – Chris Hughes and Dustin Moskovitz.

In addition to this, Mark uses Signal app ( not that of Facebook’s ) that is end-to-end encrypted. This news was shared in Twitter by Security Researcher – Dave Walker in Twitter.

On communication with a spokeperson of Facebook, it is said that, this data leak might be due to the vulnerability issue of Facebook that happened in 2019. But, that issues was said to be resolved by August 2019. As per Bloomberg report, the leaked data was pasted on Hackers community. Thus, it takes its swing back.

As we know, Facebook says Whatsapp’s new privacy policy will be implemented from May 2021, which makes users worry about privacy. In such a confused situation, this data leak puzzles users further.
