In this face paced world, we do our routine on the go. We block our ears while running behind our dreams, which serves good for our growth. But, we keep ignoring the health concerns offered by our peers in life. Let’s jump onto the point straight.

We, as kids, are pampered to drink milk since childhood and have heard a recorded dialogue – ” Drink milk to grow tall. Drink milk to grow healthy and strong”. Yes, Our parents are never wrong. Milk contains vitamins like Calcium, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B2, Phosphorus, Potassium and much more nutrients.

We have known milk. If asked to buy milk, we would ask the shopkeeper for milk and give the cash and never turn back to look at the colour of the cover, WHY ??.. because no one teaches us the details on the packet. Shouldn’t we know what kind of milk is best to consume and what differences does each colour infer ?

Milk Cover colours in India:

Most standard colours used are : Blue, Green, Orange and Magenta.

Blue :

The Blue is recognised as – Toned Milk. Blue colour packet symbolises that the fat content in it is 3 %. This is preferred in general.

Green :

The Fat content in Green is 4.5% and it is labelled as Standardised Milk. Usually preferred for children and sports persons.

Orange :

This is labelled as Full Cream. It holds the highest – 6% fat. Preferred for cooking and even by people who would love to have thickness in their milk.

Magenta :

It holds 1.5% fat and it has been labelled as Double toned. Used by people who are keen in the fat intake like those who are under medications and diet.

Be choosy next time on ur visit to buy milk. It is our duty to keep our loved ones safe and healthy. Have a Milky Treat. 😀
