Supreme court says , Universities can’t promote final year students without exams

The decision of UGC was announced few days back and now it’s upheld by the supreme court. The supreme court said that Universities can’t promote the final year students without conducting the final year exams. Adding to it the court said as per disaster management act , the states which are suffering can ask for the shifting or postpone of the dates for the well being of netizens.

The verdict that has been announced by the court is”States are required to hold final year exams as per UGC guidelines and for any exemption they will have to seek permission,”. Further it was stated ,“States, which are not inclined to hold final year exams by September 30, will have to make representation to UGC”.

Meanwhile students are also protesting against the conduct of exams and the decision of UGC has been declared to conduct the exams.
